Default Tail Light/Turn Signal Socket

I have had my Mustang for about a month. The inner of the left three tail lights keeps going out. I go to replace the bulb only to realize that the bulb is simply not staying in place. I need to replace the socket (it is the black one). Advance can only order a gray one. Is the black socket different from the two gray ones? If so, where can I order the black socket.

Thanks in advance.

I have seen this issue on many Mustangs. To be honest, I think the best way to fix it, is order sequential taillights from Web Electric. They are guaranteed for life. I have them on mine and love 'em.

Mine are sequential already. Was this not stock in ‘06?

No, not stock on '05 - to I believe '09. I would try to find out where they came from. I know some bought from American Muscle too.

Thanks for the info. That would explain why I have had trouble finding a replacement socket. I’ll look into it when I get home.

If the bulbs do not stay in, PUSH the contacts together:

I do this when bulbs fail, or are loose, works like a charm. Also do it when putting LEDs in the smaller
sockets and they're loose and won't light because of it.
