Default Let's talk modernizing!!

Hey fellows,
I'm I'm new to the forms, and I'm here because I just simply can't find the answers I'm looking for.
If you're like me then you love your 2005 to 2009 mustang. I am not interested in purchasing a newer model at this point in my life. So I appreciate any constructive inside that you can offer me and to anybody else wondering the same thing. I'm not looking to hear just buy a modern car. I'm not looking to hear the body lines won't line up. There's a way to make anything happen and that's what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a collective insight here for anybody that has had success.

1. What can I do to this s197 body style to give it a more modern gleam?
2. If I purchased 2010 and up headlights/tail lights, is there a way to fabricate a connection to hook them up?
Afterwards, perfectionism aside is there a way to attach the bumper? I don't need a perfect and wouldn't mind fabrication.
3. What have you done?

4. I'm absolutely in love with the GT500 front fascia conversion but I'm not willing to spend 2 Grand on it. How much trouble am I looking at just buying the 2007 bumper off American muscle and again attempting to fabricate it?

You should have just bought a 2010+ then... The powertrain wasn't updated till 2011.

You can't use just the hedlamps and tail lamps, you need the whole front and rear fascia.
You also need the hood from a 2010. The headlamps are not as tall as the 05-09s. The
rear tails are not contoured for the 05-09 rear bumper cover.

The GT500 front kit would also require a hood to match.

There is no real "fabrication" just replacing the front and rear end parts with the 2010 parts.
For what you are going to spend on the parts, and painting, that extra cost could have gotten
you a 2011, with the more powerful engines.

If you really love the car and have the money, then go to a restoration shop like West Coast Customs. They can do ANYTHING and make the impossible, POSSIBLE! If you dream it, they can BUILD IT! Check out their shows on Netflicks.

I saw an episode on WCC where they took a celebrities old '60s model Corvette and modernized it. They used the chaise of a new corvette and married it with the older one. Retro the bumpers and new interior and fresh exterior....was gorgeous!

OP seems to be MIA almost a whole month now. He had another thread, engine-related (his is apparently a sixxer).

Mdoperna - if you ever do come back, pick one direction to take this car in and stick with it. Choose body/appearance mods carefully, lest they become dated.

Thank you. This is what I was looking to hear. Anything is possible. It's amazing how much people limit themselves to
