Hey thuxel, I dont know how to say F#%K YOU in french or else i would. I'm Canadian and like most of the other Canadians we speak english. one province is french and one is bilingual.
Know what your talking about before you open your mouth and prove to everyone how ignorant you are.

Chill man, I think he was joking, lol.
My 01' 5.4L truck took 7.0 qts w/filter. Try a power stroke, they take 15 qts w/ a filter, the filter holds 2 qts. Helped my friend change his on his 02 7.3L and we had to have a 5 gallon bucket to drain the oil into.
6 quarts should put the oil level at the top of the "shaded" range on the dipstick, but still below the higher of the two little holes. That's after running the engine briefly and letting the oil drain back.
Ditto on adding some oil to the filter before installing it. But you will most likely spill some before you get the filter screwed on if you put too much in it. Not enough to worry about, just so you know it'll happen.
One other little note - if you punch a couple of holes in the old filter and let that thing drain before you remove it, you won't have nearly as much oil get splashed onto the hose and undercarriage.

Dude chill, I was just joking.
I'm not the one who had to post how much oil does my car need.
You have already proved how ignorant you are with the post.
So there!
I win.
