Default Got flashed tonight...and I like it!

Oh did Santa Claus...I mean the Ups guy, bring me the goodies today. He rolled up with my C&L intake/tuner package from brenspeed. In a word...LOVE! Slapped the intake on and tuned her up to 93 and man I can't tell ya how good she feels
Great throttle response and more importantly, as I have an a/t, stiff accurate shifts. Thanks to the guys at brenspeed, it was definatley worth the wait. One thing that I did notice was the engine fan seems to come on alot more than it did before but I would expect that to be normal...if not, let me know.
On to Wensday's project...courtesy of Crutchfield, installing my Sony XAV-60. Only problem will be staying out of the saddle long enough to get it done. Thanks for the advice to date guys, she's gettin there!

HAHA that's awesome!

i thought maybe it was that too or something to do with a shaker hood system (even if most modern shakers do not require flashing) nice car though

Great you love the intake and tune from Brenspeed. I am satisfied with their tune for my auto also. Changes it up quite a bit.

We have a little throwdown in Charleston next month called the regatta, which is basically a big end of summer party. The local car club puts on a show with a dyno and i'm gonna get in line. Might send the sheet to Doug and see if he can tweek the tune if needed. Of course all you guys are invited!

I feel retarded asking this question, but how the hell did you attach the heat shield to your car? I also have the C&L Racer, but I'm running it without the heat shield. The shield has 2 small holes on one side which don't match up to anything, and one larger hole with matches up with the stock airbox mount, but I'd have to remove the inner fender just so I could put a bolt there (unless I can find a J-clip somewhere).

Also, does your intake touch the radiator hose? The aluminum MAF part touches the hose. I noticed that putting the heatshield lifts the tube a little, but it still touches...

False advertising...

Baddog I don't know if the racer uses the same box but with my c&l those other two holes are for zip ties to attach to (in my case) the ABS lines.
