What about the question of having your brake rotors turned when wear unevenly. I heard that the drilled are better because the hole goes all the way through. With the slotted type eventually the slot will be gone. Should that be a concern, especially when you look at the costs of replacing the rotors?

I can tell you one weekend at Gingerman in our 04 cobra when I was testing our Hybrid CF hoods. The temp had to be around 85-90 and I was racing up and down that track with a new set of wilwood 6 pistons claipers and their drilled and slotted rotors and never one problem. The rotors were so hot that brake dust collected in the holes were popping out like popcorn.
Now outside of that 1 specific day I had used wilwood brakes fopr several years at Gingerman, putnum, mid ohio and never had any cracking with cross drilled and slotted rotors.

If you wear down or machine down a rotor past the the slots, you most likely have gone past the safe min. thicknes of the rotor. Brembo now has new rotors that have 2 wear indicators in the rotor. Pretty cool idea.

I ordered a set of drilled/slotted, so I'll see for myself how good they are.
