RE: Mineral Grey and Tungsten Grey, same?
Im guessing the one on the right is the Mineral Grey because it says 2005 right? A couple posts up, someone said tungsten was darker but in the pictures it looks like Mineral Grey is darker.

The Mineral Grey which was only available on the 2005 had a mettalic paint and would look brownish in sunlight. The Sonic Blue would look purple. That may be why both were discontinued!
Tungsten Grey is more similar to the traditional grey of mustangs.

Mineral is a tad darker. Mineral has somewhat of a pueter tint to it, and tungsten is more of a pure grey tint. I thought the Tungsten was metallic too [&:]

Yup, the tungsten has an almost purplish tone to it in the light and again at night with little light. The Mineral had a brown tone to it. I waited an entire model year for them to finally change their gray. Couldn't stand the mineral. Almost couldn't wait for the Tungsten, but glad I did! The Tungsten IS metallic as well.

I myself like the mineral grey much better but that is my opinion and not because I own one. They must have added some pearl to the grey color to get the purplish effect. That is how they did it with the sonic blue to get that purple effect.

I've got a 2005 Mineral Grey Mustang, and am extremely happy with my decision, if you're going to go with a grey, go with mineral grey if you can still find one out there. Definitely going to be a collector one day considering it resembles the Shelby color. They made a mistake changing it to tungsten grey...maybe they were trying to get more chicks to buy the new mustangs??

I think the tungsten is closer to the original Shelby color. I believe it isn't a question of which color you want, rather it is which year you get. As someone else said, the mineral grey seems to have a brownish tint to it. I'm not sure how to describe the tint on the tungsten, blueish maybe... I could probably ask my body guy, he had quite a time getting paint mixed to match it. Certainly the PPG Global paint didn't even come close. I like both colors. -Joe
