Default Not happy w/my Dyno numbers

Last week I scheduled an appointment with a shop in my area for a simple dyno run ($85 for 3 pulls) just to get some numbers. The shop has a Mustang Dynamometer, and the Tech guy seemed knowledgeable enough. Anyhow, baseline pull was 234.5 HP [:'(], so I'm thinkin "what tha..", now I know from just reading past post on this forum that a comparable 05 with my performance parts should be putting down ~285-295, correct me if I'm wrong. Well he plays with the fuel mixture using my predator (12.6 F/A mix.) and get a final number of 244.4HP and 233.4 TQ. Am I missing something here besides more HP???[>:][>:]

With a mustang dynameter, you have to add 3% per 1000 ft. above sea level your at,

I'm at 3500 ft, my dyno on a mustang was 239.8 hp, add 10.5% to that (3% X 3500) = 265 rwhp.

According to your profile, you're in Indy, which is only 800 or so ft. above sealevel, so 244.4 add .24% = 250 rwhp, so yeah, it's pretty low, are you sure the guy had the right axle gear ratio typed into the dyno?

Our cars are pretty close in mods.

When you installed the C&L I am guessing that you also loaded the C&L tune from Diablo, if not you need too.

You may notice that the A/F is in the 13.+ range this is not a good thing. You want the A/F to be in the mid to low 12's.

There is 2 ways to do this (lean the A/F out) with the predator. Use the WOT setting for different RPM ranges or perform a "Global Spark Advance" of +4 deg.

On my GT we leaned the A/F out as far as we could with the WOT adjustments and still couldnt get the A/F down into the low to mid 12's. Using the "GSA" set to +4 we got her down to where the GT runs like a bat of out hell in all gears. No detentation detected. No "Check Light"

When you get the A/F adjusted properly.........hang on........its a wild ride.

Hope this helps
