05 mustang and snowboard?
hi yeah i have a 05 mustang and i just got it im a HUGE snowboarder i love it i just dont know a way to get me my friends and my boards up to the mountain in my car. my car was stripped at one point and it was replaced with some leather seats before i bought it so i dont think they fold down in the back so i can stick the board in threw the trunk any suggestions?

Then figure out how to put the rear seats down, or you could set up a tow hook, I'm sure the transmission could handle the weight of a trailer and only a few boards, other than that you'd have to get a roof rack.
I will laugh SO hard if I ever see a roof rack on a new stang.

Yashar, I know what you mean! I love boarding too, but it's really impossible to fit more than two people with boards in the stang at a time. I don't even bother to fold down the rear seats; I just angle the boards into the back (which might not even work with a longer board -- I like real shorties like 150cm).
Maybe a third person could sit in the back and hold the boards? I usually just bug my friend who has a Saab wagon! Gotta admit that his car handles much better to and from the mountain as well...

To fold the rear seats pull the fabric loop near the top of the seatback. Unless it's a vert then they don't fold.
Another possibility is buy a removeable bike rack for the trunk and secure the boards to that.
btw I live in NY and the stang is my only car. It does well enough in the snow with stock tires just a little hard to get moving from a stop. That said it is really bad in lake effect snow (packs into the treads). So if you are going to drive in snow a lot get some snow tires.
Have fun!
