Not understanding the tuners "one time use" claim, Once you upload a tune you will use it everytime you drive the car... ?

As for keeping it in the glove box, you never know when you'll need to check a code... Data log... Or say, "that 93 is pretty cheap today, Hunny! pass me the tuner!"

The racing gas pumps occaisionally run dry around here, retune.
Have to bring back to Ford/swap back to stock, retune.
New mods, ditto.
Run lower octane to save gas $, ditto.
+ the above posts

... Oh, and another one for when the wallet's a bit tight, and load a 87 Octane tune.

...
Yeah, I hear ya. Considering that, on average, premium gas is $.20 more per gallon than regular, in a worst case scenario of a completely empty tank, that extra $3.40 can seriously break the bank![8D]

I may be wrong, but I think when you use a tuner it is V.I.N locked to your vehicle. Meaning you can only use it on one vehicle at a time unless you return it to the stock tune.
You are not wrong. Your shop has to download the tune into your tuner before uploading it into the car. Sure, they're are other tuner companies that offer multiple (300+) car tuners (but cost A LOT more money) but if you want any real performance, then you're going to have to use diablo or sct and they are VIN coded or they wouldn't make any money.

I like having a tuner for different kinds of tunes, torque, perf, higher shift points, different gas. Can stop by a shop and load what i want anytime i feel. Spend the money
