I'm 17 and I have an 06 GT. This is actually already my third car after having two honda civics. Mine is already three months old now and I now have Borla CatBack exhaust. Ordering 18x10 deep dish bullitts this month after I get my next two paychecks from Burger King. I also was lucky with the parents as they payed for more than half of the car. I pay for insurance and gas though and have a current 3.3 or higher gpa.

Good luck to you with your new stang!

Wow thanks for all the comments. Yeah i'm in love with it. I've already washed and waxed it and its only been 2 days lol. There is one other girl at my school with a 05' GT and she thinks shes all that lol. Well I think my first mod will actually be a supercharger (actually it will be more of my dad's mod than mine lol), he likes the power, but he doesn't like how it's a V8 with "only" 300hp lol. I'm gonna have to pry the car from his fingers when I get my lisence. My dad was talking about going out to the desert in a few weeks to see how fast it goes. Today when we were driving to schools he said "I don't think we'll ever know how fast this car can really go." Then I said "I'll probably find out how fast it goes when you aren't home one day lol".

As for insurance I think they will be paying for it, but once I get a job this summer I'll be paying for gas.

"my mom thinks i obsess over mine a bit". HAHAHA my mom got up last night at about 12:30 to find me in the garage checking the dipstick lol. She just stared at me for about 30 seconds like I was out of my mind, and then she just walked away.

I can remember my first car...which also coincidentally was a Mustang...and every week when I got my paycheck (I had to work and go to school) I was adding a new performance part. It got to the point where my Dad said he could here me coming from a few blocks away. Man those were the days!! Enjoy it and don't get into too much trouble (as I expect you'll get yourself in a little trouble with this car).

Yeah I really want to get a job, but my school gives so much homework that I just don't have enough time on weekdays. It's gonna be hard not to get in trouble with a mustang lol.

I guess im kinda in the same situation as u but i don't give 2 ****s about school! i just go to get the grade and play baseball, its a little hard to go to school and play baseball(which is 6 days a week till 7) and maintain a job! so i work only sundays for a 9hr shift just to pay for food and gas for a week! Can't wait till summer when the money comes in alot better for my mods!! Lucky ur dad wan't a supercharger!! i can't even put on an intake system

Yeah but i'm the kind of person who doesnt have to really study at all to get an A, but i'm in AP European history and Honors English so with the little effort I put into studying I get A's. It's not even that the clases are really that hard, but there is just allot of homework. I'm looking to become an airline pilot and one day start my own private airline business. I know that the better grades I get now, the more money I will make later, and I wil basically be able to do anything I want with a stang or hopefully maybe a GT.

I'll definetly try to keep pushing my dad to get that supercharger though.

Really nice car. I WISH I could've had my stang while I was in High School. Im turning 20 in June and I got my '06 about 3 weeks ago. My dad owns a car dealership and I work for him, so he's been helping me out with buying parts and what not. He was all for the stang but of course told me to be careful, as I had only driven SUV's before this. And the first time I let him drive it he said "that's all she's got?" I laughed and asked if he planned on helping me with a supercharger and he said I might receive a nice little present for my 20th b-day. Good luck with the car man.

Congrates! All you need is some tinting, Borla Cat-backs. Just be carefull! Invest in a good Radar Detector but don't abuse it. I recomend Passport, escort.
