Default How much of an insurance drop did you get for the anti-theft and the side airbags?

Hi guys it me again,

I am currently looking for a new 05 GT somewhere in the chicago area especially with the options I want.

The hard ones to match are the anti-theft and the side airbag option.

For those of you that got these options, did you get a drop in your insurance premium because of these safety devices?

If not, my life would be easier trying to find a new 05 GT

I have been one this forum for only a few days and already I learned a ton!

Thanks guys in advance

I ordered an 06 and asked my insurance guy before paying the $665 for those and he said that it will take close to 10 years to pay off, so about $60 or so a year. I looked all over for what I wanted and ended up oredering one and that was Aug.
If you plan on keeping the car a long time it's worth getting and if your in an accident it's priceless. Having gotten the convertable the active theft is good to have. Like both items however I hope to never need them..
Good luck in your search and your going to love your car..

I had it on my first one before I returned it for factory flaws, then just gave it up so I wouldn't have to wait for my second stang. I figure if somebody is going to steal it, the alarm isn't going to stop them.

I got the passive alarm system as well as the lo-jack anti-theft option; It yielded me a discount of about $50/month; Not a lot of savings there, but to me it was worth it for the extra peace of mind of knowing I was going to make it as tough as possible for someone to take my baby.

Knocked my insurance down $17 for the lojack. It'll take roughly 29-30 payments before it'll pay itself off. So a payment a month is about 2 and 1/2 years.

call again and tell them you have a passive and active alarm.

The car I used to get an initial quote from Farmers did not have the active anti-theft and I was quoted $420. The car we purchased has active anti-theft and Farmers charged $378. The only other difference between the cars was our actual car is a manual transmission while the quoted car was an automatic if that can possibly make a difference.
