Man, Blue, your stang was tore up worse than mine. We had a hail storm on Feb 16th at exactly 2:50PM in Bridgeton, MO. I really got Pearl Harbored.

My Gt was parked right in front of the full glass office. All I could do was stand there and watch as golf ball size hail hammered my hot rod. It really made me sick. Only had the car 2 weeks.
That hail must have been traveling 100mph......it was real sad. And get this....the dumb *** secretary said " Why are you crying" Geez!

Its going into the Ford body shop Monday 3/20. They said I'll get it back in a week. About $5K in damages. I've never seen so many dents in a car in may life.

Since then I've been on a quest to develop a car cover that will help lessen damage caused by hail. I bought an Evolution 4 car cover for $171. I plan on going to U-haul and pick up some of those moving blankets. The blanks will go on the car first then the car cover will go over the blankets.

This should help with the golf ball size hail and smaller. Its the only solution I've been able to come up with.

Once again, sorry about your misfortune.............damn!

In any case, this aint gonna happ'in again.

GT John,

I was at Riverport at work and all I could do is watch. Professor Wizard works in Earth City and he got hit but no where near as bad as I did. Take some pictures of your car before, during and after the repairs. Maybe after we get our rides put back together, we all can meet up somewhere either after work or for lunch sometime. Sorry to hear about your misfortune and I do know how you feel after only having the car only 2 weeks.

Hey Blue,

Yeah, you bet. When the cars are all fixed up we can meet for lunch at
"Dave and Busters".

What kind of time table are you looking at for the repairs to be complete?

One other thing, where have you been getting your car dyno'd? I need a new tuner.

I have not had mine dyno'd. It is a daily driver and I use 87 octane gas. It runs great the way it is. I used a tune written for my setup. The car should be done in a week and half or so. I talked to the body shop guy last night and he said it should be ready to go to paint either at the end of this week or beginning of next week. I will be out of town from March 30th to April 4th so I hope it will be done at the latest when I get back.
