Default can be done - Change each gauge to a different color

For those with MyColor. If your tank get down to 15 miles the gas gauge turns red.

Therefore it must be a programmable feature so there must be a way to get to it.

So it makes me think we can somehow independently set each gauge to a different color.

If one gauge changes color surely the others can too??

Who has the knowledge and access to the car computer to investigate and report back...

Yes, very simple. You can replace the color bulb in almost every gauge. Specialty gauges like the lunar series or cobalt you can't but standard gauges like the autolites have a replaceable bulb in them to make them whatever color you want.

OOPS! I re-read your post. I now see you are talking about the factory gauges. Don't know about that one - sorry. I only know to change them all - not individually.

Wait, I have the 'my color' option and my gas tank is often less then 15 gallons and I've never seen my gauge turn red... [sm=sigh.gif] I suspect you must have meant 1.5 gallons or somethign similar. Now, I always fill my baby back up once it gets down to 1/4 tank so that may be why I've never seen the gauge turn red.

He probably meant 15 miles. I know mine turns red at ~12 miles to E.

I'm sure the gas guage has it's on special little red light for those "YOU NEED FUEL NOW" moments but I think the rest of the cluster works off the same light source.

I read that any of the gauges will turn red if there is a problem. Wether its low on gas, or overheating, low oil pressure, etc. The indivual gauge will turn red.

Who wants to drain their oil and radiator and give that a try? Any volunteers? ;D

well, i doubt you can switch a couple wires and hook up a button and have mycolor work becasue if that was the case they'd put it in all the stangs- otherwise its just wasting money which we all know ford hates to do!
