Default Problem with hood on Highway

I remember back when these cars first came out that some people were saying their hoods were flexing at highspeeds. there was also a recent post about the hood not latching or something. This weekend i took the stang out and at about 70 mph the hood started bouncin up and down 80 it really started i didnt want to take it past that. has anyone experienced this when their hood is latched correctly? is it even somethin i should worry about? it was also really windy out this past weekend so that might have been part of it aswell Thanks.

I haven't had any problems with either of mine yet. If you have any concerns about the hood coming up on you, I would invest in a set of hood pins.

Yeah my hood shakes all over the place even though it is closed correctly, you should see how much it moves at 100+ I am looking into some hood pins, just to be on the safe side.

if its soo windy and ur driving about 120 ya somtimes u feel scared of the hoods to bumb the window.
but i have the car for a year now and i go to the highway alot and drive around 130 and somtimes its windy but iam use to it and no i never had a problem with my hood.
i belive that if u go above 155+ you need them to be in the safe side.

I watch a trans-am race last year and watched a mustang like ours loose its hood at Daytona. Now I'm sure it was going a lot faster

but ford does need to fix the problem in my opinion.

I've been up around 90 on the highway and haven't had any problems. Of course I doubt I will go any faster than that because I seem to attract the fuzz, regardless of the vehicle I'm driving.

My stock hood never waivered a bit at 100+; Now I haven't had the opportunity to drive at speeds with the new hood, but thats why I have the hood pins.

Go with hood pins!

I swear the hoods on the 05s generate more lift than a 747.....
