mine was built mid may, didnt have it... i guess cars built before then may have it

i heard if you took it out.. you needed a tune?

Whoah, I assumed everyone knew this by now, but I guess anyone new to the site might not know.

I wouldn't doubt that you'd need a tune after, when I dyno'd my car without it (and no other mods) my a/f ratio seemed kind of off.

Dig in the MM&FF archive for the first Mustang GT they tuned. Something like early last year. One of the first htings they did was remove this little thing and reprogram the computer. I don't remember if they reprogramed for just this reason or because the factory program was sucky.
