Default Line Lock Anyone?

Hello,
A buddy at work is a race car builder, and he told me it would be cool to install a "line Lock" connected to a switch on the dash or something. Anyone have this?? For those of you may not know, a Line Lock enables you to "LOCK" the front breaks so you spin the rear wheels freely and do some sick smoke shows! Ithink id be kinda fun to do at red lights!!!!

Has anyone done this??

There have been several threads on this; so far I haven't seen a system mentioned that is designed for the 05-06 GT yet. I would like this as well; just don't like loading up the rear brakes when the intent is to turn the rears. ...Jim

Many people have already put line locks on 05-06 Mustangs. The key is to use 2, one at each wheel by the caliper. This is so the ABS still functions correctly.

There aren't any bolt-in kits for our cars yet, you would just need to buy two line locks @ $100-150 each and then the necessary fittings to adapt to the factory lines. You would probably be looking at somewher around $250-$275 to do the job. I will try to find some links tonight.

I've been waiting a long time for these. I can do a pretty mean powerbrake so it isn't mandatory but I have searched and searched. Quickbus is 100% right - the only way right now is the two lock system and finding the fittings and adapters are a PIA. Supposedly Hurst and Summit were going with to come out with a set specifically for our cars but no one has of yet and it is taking forever.

1QuickshortBus - please post any info you find on buying a complete 2 loc set with adapters and fittings as I have not been able to find one anywhere. Much appreciated...

Okay, after doing some research and asking questions. You will need 2 line locks $40-75 each, (4) 1/8" NPT to 3/16" flare reducers, (4) 3/16" IF (inverted flare) nuts and some 3/16" brake line. Make sure you are able to do double flares because single flares and compression fittings aren't safe in brake systems. All of the fittings are available at Autozone.

With parts you should be able to come out for under $150 pretty easy.

Hopefully I will be able to complete this project on my own car in the next month or so.
