Default What Glass Packs to get for an 06 GT?

Can anyone point me in the direction of good, very loud glass packs for a reasonable price?

Every time I hear glasspacks I think rice. Are they making some actually nice sounding ones for the new stangs? Otherwise I would go with flows or something like that.

Yea, I definetly Dont want the rice sound. But back in the 60's muscle cars had them, so wouldnt it sound good nowadays?

like I said, im not sure. I have been hearing some stuff about glasspacks for the new stangs, but I havent heard of them for the PIs. I would go to the sites of the major players (flowmaster, borla, magnaflow) and try to find some sound clips.

I don't think it would be worthwhile, too much fabbing, the closest thing to a glasspack style muffler would be the SLP Loudmouths. Plus the 350-440+ inch motors of the 60's are a far cry from our 281 cubes.

Do the SLP "Loudmouth's". They are not that expensive and they sound fricken great.

I haven't heard the word "glasspacks" in YEARS! Make that DECADES!
I remember them on the big block motors from the 60's. I think they were used in place of mufflers, weren't they?
But more important there have been so many advances in fuel intake that you probably might not want to use outdated glasspacks. Especially since in most states you need cats.

A glass pack is just a resonator, is just a small flow through muffler. The SLP LMs are really small resonators.

So what would sound better? SLP LM's or Glasspacks? Saying that I correctly installed glasspacks
