respect for chargers
i gotta tell you i have some respect for these chargers after my buddy(WS-6) and i ran around tonight and one of these chargers caught up to us and i have to tell you, if i gave him any bit of a head start it was hard to pull on him (thats with my demolet intake and 93 tune and all my suspension goodies). fun to run with that charger, he gave it his best, it was all from a roll, if i started anything lower than third he had no chance but still got respect for him
i was very pleased though that my good friend and i were neck and neck and he is running 4:10's and i still have stock 3:55's. if i got the jump on him he could not pull me in, and vice versa. before the mods to my car he easily pulled from me after his 2-3 shift and i could never reel him in.
all in all a fun night for the first warm weather we've had here

RE: respect for chargers
well a hemi charger is no slouch. 345 hp at the crank stock, meaning with an auto about 290-310 to the wheels (could be wrong im a noob) even in a 4 door sedan thats enough to get up andgo. whats really killer is the torque on those cars, 390 ft.-lb i believe. also, the SRT-8 is nothing to mess with. 425 hp stock? umm, sounds like it'll eat my 05 GT for lunch

RE: respect for chargers
The charger you ran M must have been modded. I've run against my neighbor in his Charger RT and I've taken him everytime except when I screwed up my launch. Stock for stock, the RT is slower than the new GT's........mainly because of their 4100 lb curb weight. You're talkin about a 600 lb disadvantage for the Dodge that eats up most of the extra 45 hp that they make over the 05/06 mustangs. But yea, an SRT-8 will chew up a stock GT easily........those are low 13/high 12 cars.

eh, there seems to be those chargers popping up everywhere and i'm taking them down everytime, in my eyes theyre notthing special... it kind of looks like a attempt to copy the way the evo/sti went but instead with a v8 and rwd

RE: respect for chargers
I had an 01 or 02 Trans Am pull up next to me today. This was a real nice looking one. Dark blue with the white lettering, lowered a little, tinted windows and nice sounding exhaust. He pulled up next to me then gunned his engine. That is how I heard his exhaust. I know he wanted me to rat race him on the highway but I don't do that **** especially in rush hour traffic. I have this fear of running into someone. When he got off the exit he took a good look at my car as I went on.

RE: respect for chargers
I pulled up to a Daytona Charger the other day and he wanted to go, but it was in a heavily used street so I let him gun it himself. That thing could really move though.
