chrome exhaust tip questions

Just got my 06 gt/vert and i kind of like the stock exhaust. Any ideas where to get tips that dont have a big screw or welds that show? thanks

Most muffler shops have them and will weld them on to suit your desires. Sure you don't want to upgrade trhe mufflers? They already have tips on them.

If I could find axel backs that would not dron @60-70 and would not be a lot loader the stock. deep and rich would be nice.

There are several places to find audio clips. I have Magnaflow axle backs and they were not that loud until I added the Tru-X with high flow cats. Still not obnoxious, but louder.

If the tips is the only thing you're looking for, you can buy them from Ford accessories. I don't remember the part # right off the bat but any parts advisor @ your local Ford dealer should find it. They cost like $120 or something. No drilling or welding required. They even have a drain hole on the bottom so the edge of the tip remains clean all the time.

Go over to the right and click on the Pypes vendor ad they advertise tips for 39.99 or someting a pair that will fit a GT. I have shopped around and it is hard to find a pair of 3.5 ID tips for a less the $75.

The Pypes Tips are 4". Not 3.5". They will also slip fit over the existing extension so it would be pretty easy to install at home. Just drill a hole thru the tip and the existing muffler extension and use a stainless screw.
