well, i finally got done dealing with the police, the insurance, and enterprise rental and now i am pimping a damn ford freesyle...nice inside but the style looks like an SUV fukked a minivan and i am now driving its offspring. the damage came out to be 1200 dollars and i will be in the freesyle for about a week.

Just based on how they tryed to get in they had no idea what they were doing and even with the standered security system they would have not gotten it started,they were after somthing in it,beside what the car has already,(radio ect ect,) you did not have anything on the seats of floor of value did ya?
By the by it was ripped off by a claw hammer or a cats paw,see the round dent?That was the pressure point.If it was a claw hammer there will be wide teeth maks on the inside of the handel and or under it,if there small it was a cats paw, It's to late now but I would have dusted the back half of the window all the way back to the end of the rear window on the top right above it,he put his hand on it right around there I would bet.

Did the cops actually DO anything?... Besides write up a report?
I had a couple of friends whos cars were mess simular to yours.. The cops did nothing beyond take a report... no finger prints, no investigation.
I as one cop why and he said it was because the police departments are under staffed and unless the thief is still in the car they don't have the resource to bother trying to figure out who did it.

You're right about the police not doing anything about it. I had a bra stolen off my 84 Mustang in a parking lot. A person saw the guy steal it, good look at his face, got the tag number and description of the vehicle and left me a note with their phone number willing to be a witness. The police gave me some lame line about the car was borrowed and they couldn't do anything. Then when you go take care of it the old fashioned way, they give you more trouble than they do the real punk! -Joe
