I
have been searching high and low for the article/info to go with this Mustang!

It is a motortrend pic. There were also pictures of this car at the Detroit Auto Show. I ordered a silver 05 GT (had it a year in May) with the hopes of matching this paint scheme : silver with white stripes.

I am wondering if this is satin silver, or a custom color. If go to the link and scroll down the pictures are at the bottom. My tax return check is in and I want to have the paint done soon.

If anyone has any info on it I'd appreciate. Or some pics of silver/white stripe combos.

Those are not white stripes, that looks like a Mineral Grey Mustang with light grey stripes. In the middle of the following page you'll see a Mineral Grey GT that looks almost exactly like the one in your link.

Maybe this will shed some light on it. I'm pretty sure the car is not mineral grey. Looks like satin silver, maaaybe even tungsten. But the stripes......I'm not sure, looks almost like a metallic white. Either that or a very light metallic silver.

I dunno, my pic is from the Chicago auto show in '04. So it's the not yet released '05 Mustang but that looks soooo much like Tungsten with Satin Silver. But Mineral was the gray for '05

Yea, the stripes are definitely a metallic silver, not white. Not sure about the car, but that shouldn't matter to smallblok....since he's not repainting the whole car.

It definitely looks darker than Satin Silver, maybe they used Tungsten. I am now seeing the silver in the stripe.

Tungsten Silver was developed for the 2004 North American International Auto Show Ford "Performance Trilogy" show cars - the Ford GT, the Shelby Cobra roadster concept and the new 2005 Mustang GT. Customer demand was so overwhelming that the color was added to the production palette.

Looks as if Ford used Tungsten on all 3 cars for the shows, then offered it on the Mustang for 2006 due to demand !

Yea, after looking at all the pics I came to the conclusion that it was tungsten they used on that car. That would mean that the stripes would be either satin silver or another light metallic silver. Good looking combo......and the one that originally sold me on the idea on getting stripes done to mine back at the beginning of 05 when I first saw this show car.
