Default Anyone leaking oil?

I have a 05 GT with 14,000 miles and its a little over a year old. I recently installed a O/R X-pipe and noticed some oil accumulation near the Torque converter cover/back of the engine by the oilpan. I don't see any oil on my garage floor yet but there is some ouside. Anyone have an issue similar to this? If so what was the outcome?

Thanks!

Default RE: Anyone leaking oil?

I had a similar problem. I would get a spot on the ground about the size of a quarter. My car has 3600 miles. I noticed the oil or whatever it was in the same area your describing. Anyway I took it to dealership and they couldn't find a leak. They put dye in the oil so if I see it again they'll be able to find it. They also said they retorqued all the bolts on the oil pan. Been about a 3 weeks and no more spots on the ground. I think it might have been condensation or something mixed with a little oil cause it was very diluted and not thick like oil.

The oil used in this car is very thin; 5w20 and I think that is why it is leaking. I will bring into the dealer as soon as I take off the x-pipe. Thanks!

"Thin" oil has nothing to do with an oil "leak." If it's leaking, a seal has failed/was installed improperly.

I was not implying that the "thin" is the cause of the leak. I was replying to this:

5w20 is not very thick at all; it almost pours like water, therefore, if you see a spot that looks like oil but is not thick, it is oil.
