Sorry, my description was lacking. The '68 emblem is more like a right triangle when viewed from either the right or left sides. It will fit flush to the fender. However, there will be a larger gap between the (hollowed out interior of the) emblem and the fender at the bottom. Think of the emblem as a rectangular cake pan. The sides of the pan are the lip that runs around the emblem. However, the bottom of the cake pan is sloped from one side of the pan to the opposite side. I don't have access to pics of the emblem right now, but I'll try to post pics later. Thanks!
