Default New Pics with Shelby CS-66 Wheels Installed

OK, the new Shelby CS-66 wheels and Pirelli tires are on my baby. I cannot believe how HUGE the footprint is on these tires in camparison to the stock ones. Just for clarification I went with Pirelli P-Zero Nero M&S tires in a size P285/40-WR18 (on an 18" x 9.5" rim) in the rear and P255/45-WR18 (on an 18" x 8.5" rim) on the front. I chose the Pirelli's becasue I needed an ultra high performance tire that could still handle the occassional surprise snow storm (which happen fairly regularly out here in Denver).

Thanks to everyone for all the help in choosing which version of the rims to buy. I think these work very well with the overall look of the car. Next thing to consider is lowering the vehicle slightly. I want the car to look more balanced (front and rear). What do you think 1/2 inch lower in front and 1 inch lower in the rear? With that front spoiler I can't lower the front of the vehicle much as I already have to be careful not to scrape it when leaving driveways, etc.

A little to busy for my taste--but they look nice none the less, perfect sizing though, seems to be the popular route. good luck!

Thanks. As I said now I think I need to lower it a bit to really make it look right. I'm currently fighting off the temptation to call Roush and order a suspension kit. We'll see how long I can resist this temptation. [sm=teetertooter.gif]

Be careful about lowering your car if you are going to drive it in snow. That's the only reason I can't lower my car. My car is an every day driver. And yet I don't get as much snow than Denver, we still can get some bad storms in Chicago.

Would lowering the vehicle make it harder to drive thru light to moderate snow? I would think that lowering the center of gravity would actually help in conditions like that...

They are from the Carroll Shelby wheel company (http://www.carrollshelbywheels.com); You can order them thru your local Ford dealership.
