Default This is for the tinters

My car is going in tomorrow for tints.
I got quoted for $185 for the front passenger and drivers side window and the rear window. I am putting louvers on the quarter windows so I dont need tints there. He explained to me there was a lifetime warranty against bubbling.

NY state law says the limit is 70% which is like basically nothing. I might go for 20% all around.

How much did u guys pay? Am I overpaying?

I paid $152 that is with tax. That was front windows, side windows and back window. I got 35% because of Maryland law and Baltimore county police and get crappy about it. I had to take mine back after two weeks because of dirt in the tint but they took everything off and redid them.

He told me $185 plus tax and there would be an extra charge to put felt inbetween the rubber and the window...

He told me that he was aware of that problem in the new mustangs and that the acura tl's also have the problem with the window scratching

Yes, thats true, make sure he puts the felt in. The price does seem kind of pricey though. What kind of tint is it? that ususally makes a difference in price but not by too much. Metal films and HP films tend to be somewhat pricier.

$179 I paid and got the highest quality film for my 30% all around except for the very back window which has 20%, the flow goes great and blocks out a lot of UV rays. I have used the guy before and he is the most professional place to go for tinting in my area, he did a great job and has a guarantee of no bubbling/peeling etc.

I paid $75 for 20% all the way around. I asked the dealer who they used and then went there myself and asked for the dealer cost.

I could've gotten a tint for $100 but it wouldn't have been nearly the same quality film used on mine.

This is the place I am getting it from:

www.samstinting.com

They are located in NY.

They say they are using Llumar Magnum type tint. Dont know much about it.

Also on their page it has all the tint % laws for every state in the U.S.... NY is pretty strict at only 70%

I am probably going to get like 20%
