Want opinion on front bumper design modification
One thing I've hated so far on the front bumper that I'm looking to change in a new body kit is how straight the front two pillers are on the front fascia. I was thinking of designing it more like the 99-04 where the front piller slopes out to the front of the bumper.
Any opinions on doing this?
I've inlcuded a pic of the part I'm speaking about.
More forward like this the 99-04

I wouldnt change a thing, that is the beauty of these cars, they were design perfect especially the front grill. If you like that grill so much you should of went with a 99-04. That just my opinion

The 05+ is meant to have retro styling. The stright pillars there are like the original. If you slant them, you are just making it more like the new and less like they were intended. Why not just buy an 04? -Joe

Because I already have a 99 and 04 cobra. What I'm saying is my company is developing a new body kit and we were throwing around this idea. Were looking at it from a aero perspective as opposed to retro styling.

I could be wrong but I don't think slanting ~16 square inches of face is going to make a lick of differnce as far as aerodynamics, but it WILL drastically change the styling. If your co. is making a new body kit for possible production, shouldn't you invest in some sort of 3D programming to look at it in the cyberworld before putting hours of labor into a prototype?
Anywho, when you look at the S197 from the side, the upper of the nose slants forward as it goes up. To make these two parts slant back as they go up will kind of ruin the image I think.
