Default RE: GT vs. V6 grill

Would like to come by and get it buy I'm in MA. I'm thinking I could get a spare GT grill and fab in the triagular sections from a doner V6 grill (might need 2) and end up with a GT grill sans fogs and pony. Anyone want to send me a grill (broken or not) I'll at least pay postage of course, and I'll fab one up and let you guys know what's involved. ...Jim

Maybe Fairlane likes the "sleeper-effect"

I'm partial to the V6 grill myself, looks clean(er) than the
V8 grill with those BIG fog lamps.

Here's what I did to make em more........inconspicious

Those GT badges don't go well with the sleeper effect. Need to get rid of those too if that's what you're after.

You got it!!!!! I probably wouldn't have the emblem (but it looks great on your car!!); I don't have any emblems on my car now and I'm not one to add any; I take them away (lol); ....but yeah that's the look; Maybe a few guys will have a damaged or very cheap
grill(s) for me to work with; I'm pretty confident I can make this GT grille from doner parts. ...and I'd be happy to let everyone in on the solution once completed; might even do a few upon request; but need to prove the fabrication concept first. I see no company with any effort or interest to do this so... "you take matters into your own hands"

Would you be so kind as to take a tape measure and send me the outside edge to edge width and height of the V6 grill. When measuring simply measure at approx the middle (passing over the pony; left to right and top to bottom) I can tell you (and everyone), the GT grill measures this way at: width: 39 1/4" x height: 8 1/16". Thanks!!!! ...Jim

lol how do you intend on making a Mustang into a sleeper?

as far as i'm concerned a new mustang with a shiny paint job is NOT a sleeper

However, your car looks great!

I would like to get a cage for the pony on my grill. Its an '06 GT. I like the V6 grill on the '06 model. I would like to keep my O.E. fog lamps though.
