GT vs. V6 grill

GT vs. V6 grill
Well I just pulled my GT grill and because its tabs snap into the designed locations in the bumper cover, a V6 grill isn't going in there unless it's tabs are in the same location as the GT. I've heard word of dimensional differences; do the V6 grill tabs line up with GT bumper locations? I'm guessing "no" from what I've heard and because we know the bumper cover is different (lic plate molded area for one). Anyone who has had their hands on these two, to compare and has some specifics on this, I'd appreciate your info. Thanks, Jim

RE: GT vs. V6 grill
Maybe Fairlane likes the "sleeper-effect"
I'm partial to the V6 grill myself, looks clean(er) than the
V8 grill with those BIG fog lamps.
Here's what I did to make em more........inconspicious

RE: GT vs. V6 grill
I went the other way (installed the GT grille into the V6 fascia). The tabs are in the same place more or less, but the V6 grille has two fewer tabs than the GT grille. Also the shape is different. The GT grille is a little bigger. If you try installing the V6 grille into the GT opening, I think you'll end up with a space around the perimeter. Plus the lower "flange" of the grille is larger on the GT, so you'll have some of the fascia exposed along the lower edge.

RE: GT vs. V6 grill
they dont line up. The grilles are shaped diffrent. I put a GT bumper on my v6 but wanted to use the v6 grille to avoid poser comments and i alsop like the look of the v6 grille better, but the GT grille is taller and shaped alot diffrent, so the sixer grille doesnt work
long story short i bought a GT grille and tinted the fogs.

RE: GT vs. V6 grill
I do like the sleeper effect; but not on my GT (lol). I just like the cleaner look of the V6 grill and would like to go w/o pony as well. I can see that a V6 grill isn't going in the GT bumper.
