20in rims w/o lowering

I have been considering buying 20in rims for my car, but i have been told by some of my friends that my car might look kind of funny because it would be raised because the rim would be bigger, and that i would probably have to lover the car.
anyways, i was wondering if anybody is running 20's on their car and did not change the springs. also, if you did change your springs, how much did you drop your car?

thanks

Haven't lowered mine, yet! Also have pics in the gallery of a larger tire set up as well. Just click on the camera to the left and you'll see a few pics.

Good luck with your choice.

20" w/o lowering. No rubbing as is. Had 255/35 in front but changed out to 255/40 today, about an inch taller. Wanted to fill wheel well to match rear 315's and even car out better. No pics yet of new fronts.

I had my 20's before I lowered the car and it did make it sit up higher. It look like it was a off road truck. I lowered it 2.5 in the rear and 1.7 in the front.(tein springs) Im running 275/35rear 255/35 front without any rubbing but, my struts are toast and need to be replaced.

Nautique, I think you should consider lowering the car, at least at the front, to set it right. I installed 20's and installed the pro-kit and with the d-specs she handles really nice.

My car isnt lowered, If you stay within the 27" range it shouldnt really change the way your car sits. Your rims will get bigger but your tire gets thinner. Here are some pics of mine.

About 10 days I go I ALSO got my 20's and since they (dealer) sent the
wrong spring set I saw the car WITH the new wheels on, without the
Eibach Pro Kit set and I DID NOT like it, it looked like my 4x4 truck,
just wayyyy too much space in the wheel well
so the next day when the Eiback kit went in and I picked up the car
I could DEFINITELY tell the difference.

Tastes differ, that's just MY opinion !
