Default WHITE LETTER TIRES

I know this isn't a HIGH TECH question, but, I wonder why white letter tires arn't offered as an option on the 05-06's. I feel it would complete the whole "retro look". and........... I've yet to see any new 'Stangs with WL tires.

I need some help/opinions......... the local tire shop has WL/rubber paint. Do you all think this would make the car look "cheap", or make it look better ? I like the idea, but, I'm not gonna consider it, until, I get some feedback from you other owners/enthusiaists.

THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've thought about those too. I think they would look good on our cars.

I never really cared for the white letters. Even back then I'd turn my white letters to the inside so you didn't see them. -Joe

I have always loved WL's. When I bought tires years ago and the guy asked me if I wanted then in or out I thought he was crazy. I even asked if there were people who spent the extra and then hid them. He said yes, but very few. That was back in the 70's and early 80's. I guess I'm still stuck there. My next tires will have them.

I was one of the few???? I never had to pay extra for W/L. They just came like that. I even asked on a particular tire I liked if it was ofered without the W/L and the answer was no.
