Anyone installed cutouts(exhaust)?

RE: Anyone installed cutouts(exhaust)?
its usually for track. 40$ gets you the kind where you get on your hands and knees and pull the valve open yourself, if you spend a little extra you can get a lever inside you can pull which will open those valves...
also you may lose some torque from it, but i doubt it, it depends on your cam profile the labe seperation angle as to when the power stroke occurs for each cylinder.. if our engines had a power lag, wed be in trouble and loose power unless our motorss were pumping enough ponies to overcome this feat.. but our cam profiles allows us a poweroverlap, so its no real issue..
it would be cool to see. but i wouldnt put one on my car

RE: Anyone installed cutouts(exhaust)?
This product does seem pretty cool, I would love to see it in action in person. Where along the pipes would this go best on our cars? I was lookin and it seems the only places possible would send the exhaust fumes out towards the ground while still under the car. Would this possibly cause some heat issues over long stretches(maybe while just sitting at idle not moving) of time or do you guys think it would be best to just route the exhaust after the butterfly manifold to the side or back of the car?

RE: Anyone installed cutouts(exhaust)?
the typical place to put it would be before the H pipe or X pipe if equiped... its suppost to have an open header effect for wide open throtle situations.. like at the track
