i just installed my pro5.0 last weekend...great shifter...
haven't tried them all...
hurst is too much like stock...
put in a pro5.0 and get a white ball for it...appears/performance...done and done.

I think that if your speaking of missing third gear during hard acceleration that it may be due to the engine / tranny cranking to one side (Torque). As for heat soak... yup... running hot can rob some HP.
As for shifters... I think I did not explain it to well earlier. I think that for performance that the Pro 5.0 is the way to go. I just decided that the Hurst was the look I wanted and went that route. Besides... I only paid $100.00 from a guy used....

No thats normal for almost everycar when u drive ur car too much and 50% of that time ur going high speeds the temp goes up which causes you to lose few hp's to fix that problem u have to install an oil cooler... thats what i heard and correct me if im wrong...

Well guys the topis says it ... i want to know whats the best shifter ever made for the new mustang GT's because when my gaer box temp goes HIGH .. its hard to put it in the correct position i had to use force..
I couldn't make a poll cuz i dont know all the shifter names ...

Try replacing your trans fluid with Redline "D4" and add a 10% mix of Tufoil. www.tufoil.com
My trans felt better after I did the same, I've been a Redline and Tufoil fan for at least fifteen years and several 100k miles.
