Default Check Gas Cap

After filling up at a local gas station my dash computer spit out a "Check Gas Cap" on the info screen.
So I pulled over to check it out. Nothing, I reinstalled the cap untill it clicked and reset the computer and off I went. No more that 5 minutes later same thing... What the F**k? Has anyone else had this problem?
It didn't matter how many times I reset the computer it keeps popping up. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Mauiboy

I suggest you try telling your car the story about a boy who cried wolf...maybe it will stop. [8D]

Ah, so Ford has a warning like this in the Mustang.

This is much better than the alternative, a lit Check Engine Light that would cause thousands of unnecessary shop visits.

I've written about this here:

Good read mkaresh,

So far so good, disconnected the battery today and the "Check Gas Cap" light hasn't returned.
Thanks again everyone!!!
