Cut the SOB off FLUSH to the body, it'll still work in the city,............ when you get to the country slide in a CD, or better yet bolt a KRACO 8 Track under the dash, and finish off that "retro look"

God and Ford only gave us 1 antenny option, we must live with it, or go crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy !!!!!!!!!!!!! Reading 8" will work-- 12" is good-----31" is best. I wanna all chrome Billit, with vertical boosters, tuned posts with a CB Band upgrade.

My next step is to remove and fill the spot for the antenna and use an internally amplified option.

For those who are considering getting a shorter antenna I recommend the shorty antenna (8”) from mustangtuning.com. I just put it on a few days ago and it is amazing. Much better looking than the 400 foot one it originally comes with. Plus, the reception is still crystal clear. I live in a city so I cant vouch for the reception in more rural areas.

And yes, I know I need to wash the car. I’m going to wash it right now.

But wouldn't an antenna ball look silly on a shorty antenna. HeeHeeHee! [sm=joke.gif]
I like my antenna, all of my previous cars (GM) had the antenna in the back window. I couldn't put an antenna ball on them []

Tune Trapper works quite well. ...not powered/amplified. ...no AM only $29.95 with money back guarantee. I have mine under the dash.
