Very slow return to idle speed

RE: Very slow return to idle speed
I specifically requested this in my tune from MDmotorsports. It sounds like a pushrod motor. Running thru gears nice and slow it purrs between shifts! Tuner said it was a side parameter or something to that effect. Good luck!

RE: Very slow return to idle speed
overshooting has high as 500 Rpm. In order to minimize this, i need to release the gas pedal almost 1/2 second before using the clutch. Anyone has the same issue?

RE: Very slow return to idle speed
If you have the SCT Pro package here's the fix. Or have your tuner do this for you.
In Advantage to go "Idle, Idle_speed_RPM_adder_for ECT", Zero out 20.000000 through 120.000000 under ECT. Also go to "Idle_speed_RPM-adder_for_ECT_at_start up" Zero out all of RPM from 20.000000 to 254.000000 under ECT @ start.

RE: Very slow return to idle speed
If I shift my 06 v6 into neutral and coast with my foot off the clutch, the engine will rev up to like 2000 and drop back to like 800. it will keep doing this until i stop the car or push the clutch back in. can anyone explain this??

RE: Very slow return to idle speed
I have been "beta testing" some of Doug's tunes that address that very issue. He has it worked out. Also he has worked out - when you start your car it reves hi then slowly drops - Doug's version is: start the car and it fires off and starts idling normal right (800RPM) off the bat.
I am not sure if they are available yet, but he has them and they are great!!
