Yeah I can dig that. I was thinking about painting the actual door black to match the car and just leaving the aluminum ring around the outside. I think that would look pretty sweet.

There are fuel doors with the line.

RE: 2005 Mustang GT Fuel Door
I visited the fuel door websites.
Those fuel doors are excactly what should be used on the mustangs, line and all.
The only draw back I can see is that the doors are not lockable, which was the body of the first post.
Thanks for the links.

I bought the Steeda billet fuel door as well and think it looks great. Steeda's fuel doors do no lock but you can always put the locking cap under it. -Joe

RE: 2005 Mustang GT Fuel Door
Thanks GT John
I installed my Stant 10510 gas cap from rockauto.com April 26. It took a little getting used to having the key in the way but once I got the feel it worked fine.

Then remembering what another poster had suggested concerning prevention of someone dumping stuff in your gas tank was to purchase the Stant 10510 locking gas cap (rockauto.com), I think all together the cap cost me $12 to the house. This locking gas cap is great, an exact replacement for the stock cap except this gas cap is lockable and you can put the existing plastic keeper ring on it..... fits great.

GT John.. thanks for the info regarding the Stant 10510 locking gas cap. Mine came this past Friday and now I have a little more peace of mind and not having to worry about somebody putting something in my gas tank. Great price, fast shipping and a very easy install.
