Rest??? not sure what you mean. If you mean mirror removal/reinstall and sanding steps just let me know; I have put this in a few posts already but would be happy to summarize for you if that's what you are referring to. ...Jim

Yep,

I have to agree woth Jim (Fairlane292). These covers are the best I've seen thus far, but ypou can't beat having the mirrors painted. These covers only cover the mirror and leave the triangular base black. Also, after they are installed, you can see the lip around the cover. You are much better off getting the entire mirror painted. It's super simple to remove them and then just place masking tape around the glass and the screws so they don't get paint on them. Drop them off at your body shop and for about the same price as these covers, you can have them painted. Ask them for at least three coats with sanding inbetween each coat of paint and then finally clear coat.

I ordered these when they first came out. According to fedex.com I should have these tomorrow. I'll post pics when I get them installed. Did you notice the great price? I also got the quarter window louvers painted to match. Both the mirror covers and louvers was only $290 shipped, both painted to match. Sounded like a good deal to me.

thanks for the great info! i started working on my mirrors tonight. i completley sanded one in about 3hrs. hell its almost smooth enough to come like it is. anyway, the prep method you stated to use for the mirror, are they pretty much the same for fiberglass and poly body parts such as spoilers, louvers and such? if not what kind of prep method should i use?

sorry i am just trying to save as much money as i can by doing as much i can myself. i am perfectly capable i just dont have the know-how.

thanks
TY

Great job! It took me a good 2.5hrs to get each one smooth like that. I sanded off the couple of raised mold seams, you probably did as well. Check under excellent lighting, in all the fine joints to make sure you got all the texture out. You'll be so happy with the final results and ya just can't get a shop to be as fussy as you are; and they would charge a ton anyway (6 hrs labor; UGH!!!). Yes same prep on all your "poly" (plastic type parts). Not fiberglass though, that's different, but you don't have any fiberglass parts do you? Note how say a soldering gun would melt these other parts; it would have no affect on fiberglass; two totally different types of material. If you do need to do any prep on fiberglass, let me know.

Nice work, if you have any questions just ask; that's one of the greatest things about this forumn. ...Jim
