Paint mirrors or these covers? Anyone have 'em?

RE: Paint mirrors or these covers? Anyone have 'em?
It took a long time for the painting to get done. It was about 10-14 days or so after the auction ended that I finally got an email saying they were being shipped. Then they shipped via FedEx Home Delivery to a business address (on a Saturday, when we were not open), which meant it took a couple days longer just because of that. Yep, the wait was a PITA, but after the install and looking at the paint match (which appears to be perfect) I'm satisfied especially given the price. By the way, one thing I forgot to mention was that these are smooth covers. I was hoping they would not be textured like the original mirrors and they are not. Overall, I'm satisfied with the look although the service could have been much better.

Yep, the part facing the window where it is not painted disappointed me at first, but after driving around with these for two days now, I don't notice it, especially since I have a deep tint on my windows. I rarely drive with the windows down either. Also, I don't have the time (or money) to pull these off and do it the right way. This was a quick easy fix to the ugly stock mirrors that I'm satisfied with (despite the service).

Well, if mine come out ok (crossed fingers) they'll cost me the same as the inserts.
Anyone know if chips etc will be an issue? I don't see why since a lot of higher end cars have painted mirrors.
