Default Can I ground the fuel rails???

Just put on a new Digital Fuel Pressure gauge. It did not initially work. Apparently the fuel pressure sender requires an adaptor because there is no Schrader valve on these fuel rails. Then after the adaptor, I needed to get a right angle fitting so it would fit...

So I got that all worked out but found out that the fuel sender case needs to be grounded for the thing to work. Normally I think the fuel rails on other cars are grounded. As soon as I did this, the gauge worked.

However, I am worried that it may be sucking electricity through the ground I made when the car is off. Is this poissible? or sould I not worry about it? The gauge now works fine & seems to register correctly.

Thanks for any info.

P.S. this is in preparation for a new Kenne Bell that should arrive this week! woohoo!!!

Default RE: Can I ground the fuel rails???

Grounding the fuel rail will not cause any problems. The only reason it was insulated is due to the composite material that the intake is made from.

Thanks for the peace of mind! Drove all day today with no problems... So I guess it's not an issue.
