That looks sweet. Very original-I've never seen decals on calipers before unless they were from Porsche. Valve covers are cool...they look just like the covers for my '67 289.

Prof:

Very nice. Not to threadjack but since some others have already mentioned it...

I really like your cam covers. Did you paint the factory covers or buy a set of the blue FRPP covers? If you did paint them, did you pull them first or do it while they were on the car?

ORIGINAL: Skrappy

I painted my calipers red a couple of months ago, they look just like yours.

Where did you get the "mustang" and horse to put on your calipers?

Thanks,

Skrappy
You can get them at http://www.xenonmods.com/. They sell them in a pack that includes 6 Mustang Text, 6 Pony, 6 SVT Text, and 6 Cobra Text decals. You can choose from a bunch of different colors and they cost about $8 shipped. I'm thinking about painting mine and ordering a set of these in the brushed aluminum color.

Prof: I know you just installed the sticker but I would love to hear how well they hold up over time. I'm sure some other would too.

THANKS guys... ya made me smile !

SoldShort... the Brakes I painted with G2 Brake Caliper paint - - greate stuff, good coverage. The only bad thing is the paint uses a catalist and so you can't keep any around for touch up. I got mine from hubcapsplus.com for 34.99 total.

Cars&Cigars and RazerX.... Razer.. your correct on the stickers... I painted the covers while the were on the car... removed enough stuff to make it easy to get to them.

The paint I used is VERY special just for engines. Stuff has been around for years and very popular with Hot Rodders - which is where I learned about the paint. I got the Engine Paint from www.por15store.com/. It is specially designed to cover in one coat - 2 coats and you have a really solid finish. The stuff is thick and once cured it is a very hard coating and resistant to chemicals. I ordered their smallest container and didn't make a dent in it. I guessing you could paint 5 sets of covers with one can.

Oh yea.l... I went with Ford Blue because if I were to order a Ford Racing crate engine - THAT is exactly how it would come.

CainMotorSports... As Razer stated - the Caliper Decals came from www.xenonmods.com for like 8 bucks.
My "Mustang" on my radiator cover is from wooddashexperts.com. Unfortunately you can't guy JUST that piece. I ended up with it because they screw up my order by having a couple of pieces with a different grain pattern to the Carbon Fibor. That piece is the piece that would go above the glove box - I just rounded the corners on it and use it on my radiator.

You could consider just using the letters from them.

I used "those" in the aluminum selection for my trunk lid... cost was around 13 dollars.

Pullmeoverread... Those are soft plastic Emblems... Ford blue & Chrome... I picked them up for a couple of bucks at my local Auto Zone.
