the tires are 255/45/18
they give a pretty good compromise between lower profile and shock absorbtion.. not to mention they are a little more common, so you can find good deals out there.(I actually got mine off of ebay... It's to hard to find better deals.. and the set is actually good.. only $500)
stability?, well I guess it seems about the same. Possibly a little bit more settling time on some bumps. If I hadn't know that the springs were changed, I don't think I woould have noticed the difference.
