Burned CDs won't play in Shaker 500
I hope I'm posting this in the right place.... Just got my 06 Pony and none of my burned CDs will play in the Shaker 500. Napster had some instructions on converting songs to MP3 and burning them that way - did it, didn't work.
I'm using audio cds, btw.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Nothing worse than taking the Pony out for a gallop and having no good music on the radio! [:@]
Thanks!

Napster and Windows Media Player both close the CD after burning. I've been perusing websites that have info on this problem, but still haven't found the solution. I've played these CDs in a portable player and a 99 Chevy van - tried them in my boyfriends 03 Chevy truck and they won't work there either. [&:] Talk about confusing!

You might also try a different brand of media (blank discs).
I burned some CDs that worked fine in my buddy's truck (Pioneer aftermarket CD player) but that wouldn't play in my Mustang. I switched to a different brand of disc and those new ones play fine.

It is probably due to them being Windows Media Files(WMA). That format does not play in many CD players. You need to use a CD burn program like Nero or Easy Cd Creator.
