Problem with Speedo Correction on 01/06+
I had the dealer install 4.10s and noticed the speedo was off on the drive home. Determined that they hadn't even made a correction. When I returned to the dealer to get it done they said they couldn't. Something about the computer couldn't get the car to take the program.
My car was built in January, so I'm wondering if there's a new ECU that even the dealers aren't equipped to handle. If anyone else, with a car less than 6 months off the factory floor, has attempted or made alterations to the ECU at the dealer or with a tuner, for the gear correction or anything else let me know. If the dealer can't do it, I'd have to wonder if Diablosport or SCT are even euipped for this. Of course, it could just be that that dealer is retarded.
If I can't find anyone with a car that fits the same timeframe, I'll contact the tuners and see what they can tell me.

But will it for sure work on a newer ECU? If the dealer's computer can't communicate with it, I don't see how a aftermarket tuner would have a better chance of working.

My car was built on January 23rd, and I just had 4.10s installed, my installer used my SCT tuner to fix the speedo. I could have done it myself too with the SCT tuner, that's just one of the settings you can change yourself. Your dealer must be smoking some good stuff! If they service these cars they should know or have the tools needed to correct the speedo. What if you buy bigger tires, are they going to leave you with the speedo off a couple of MPH too?

Cool. I think that seals it. I'll try a different dealer 'cos I'm not in the market for a tuner right this moment. If they can't help me, or wanna charge me, I know what my next purchase will be.
Thanks guys.
