I NEED HELP NOW-AUXILARY BUTTON!
If you have an auxilary input adapter hooked up to the shaker 500 headunit, and you press the auxilary button, it goes to the auxilary mode. If you turn the car off while in auxilary mode, and then turn the car back on, does the radio start up in auxilary mode? I need to know because I may hook my laptop's sound up in auxilary mode, and mount the shaker headunit permanently behind the dash. In its place I am putting a 7 inch monitor, so I will not be able to access the still functioning shaker headunit. I want the car to startup in auxilary mode so my laptop's sound will funciton through the speakers.

I just checked for you. I started the car, put in AUX mode and then turned it off. Waited a couple minutes and then started again. It does start back up in AUX mode. I am thinking though if the battery were to be disconnected or die on you , it would probably start back up with the radio, but that is just a guess

i think what i would do is just solder in some wire on the AUX button for a few inches of extra room and run the new button into the glove box... i think that would work, though i have never looked inside the shaker system

I use the AUX for my iPod. If you turn off the unit via the power button is start ups in AUX. If you turn off the ignition it also starts in AUX. If you disconnect the battery, the unit starts in tuner mode. I hope this helps.

muze one, youbetter check your adapter, it might be blown. Mine did the sane thing. I'm on my second one, the first blew on me after about 3 wks I heard it blow when I was loading in a tune from my SCT, from now on I'll pull the fuse whenever I load a tune.
