What color interior for a black GT?
 

I am debating if I should get a tan or dark charcol interior for a black GT. What do you guys think? Or maybe another color interior you think would look good? I am open to suggestions.

I would go with tan because it looks amazing with a black car. It's your car though so you make the decision!!!!:D

Tan if it's going to be a cruiser. Black if you're going for hard driving muscle look.

Get the Red interior. IMO best combo on any sports car.

I have the tan because thats the way my car came. I personally like the tan. Can't say I don't like the red either. It reminds me of the sixtys. By the way I showed my dealership today that I had a small break in my leather on the drivers seat and can you believe it I'm getting new leather for my seat free from ford and I didn't have to return my car to its stock tune.:D

When considering red think about how it's going to affect the resale value of the car. More neutral colors would sit better with potential buyers down the road, and dealerships take this into account when offering trade-in values, just something to keep in mind.

I got black because I love my black car and want to keep a constant flow and the black leather just does what I want it to. ;)

That's one of the things I'm worried about. I live in Arizona where it gets to be 100+ in the summer so charcoal/black would get considerably hotter than tan.

And my plans are to put black rims on also so would tan or charcoal/black go better with black rims?

dont't worry about getting burned by the charcoal leater seats; i have them in my vert and have never been burned when wearing shorts; i have sat in both charcoal and tan seats and there is no noticeable difference in feel to the heat when wearing shorts; you get what looks best for you - and don't worry about the resale as you will regret having a color you do not like like while you own the car - and for my 2 cents: RED is the way to go with black.

Another vote for red. I wasn't in the market to buy a Mustang until I saw the black/ red combo, then I suddenly HAD TO HAVE ONE :)

the red is a bit vibrant in my opinion....it was my original choice, but then i opted for black....i thought it looked meaner....it makes the window tint seem darker, and stays clean and new looking longer. Especially if you are getting a convertible, im sure the red will always look dirty. Its a good idea on paper....but practicality votes black.

Get whichever one YOU like best. There is no ugly option available from Ford, and anything will "go" with a black exterior. It is purely a matter of your personal preference. They will all be hot after being parked in the sun, and your black exterior will do more for making it hot inside than the interior color.

My personal preference is to always get the darkest gray available, or black....and my cars exteriors are almost always white or silver (with an occasional red for flavor).

I've got a black GT ragtop with a black interior and the IUP, and I love it. However, if you go that route you'd better REALLY LIKE VACUUMING, 'cause every stinkin' piece of grass, straw, paper, dust or anything else on the carpet is really obvious. I've seen both the tan and the red as well, and they both look excellent.

TAN ALL THE WAY!!!!! The combo is just too sharp, and if you get the vert with the parchment top OMG! (ok so I am a little biased since that's my combo, but its the combo that made me a Mustang owner) :-)

I think they all look good. I chose the dark interior because I have had bad luck with marks and stains in the past and the dark doesn't show it as easily.

Have You even considered lite graphite.... it almost looks like a soft silver when you put it next to black.
Red will kill your resale value and tan looks good with black for a lady driver. However charcoal seems to be the
favorite. Make your car different.. get graphite !!

I honestly don't think you can go wrong with any of your choices. I happened to be at a large dealership (just went to drive the auto vs. manual) and I gotta say I liked the the dark charcoal, the red, and the tan. They didn't have a light charcoal, or I probably would have liked that, too. I do not care for black cars, please understand, they are very striking but living in Kansas, there is no way to keep one clean.

I hope you enjoy your stang, whatever the color, and if anyone makes a comment about your color choice, drive 'em way the heck out in the middle of nowhere and boot their ass out.

hmmm. I think the only shaggin that could go on in these wagons is among midgets or contortionists.
