What Black Stripes on my Legend Lime

I've read several stripe threads, but what I really want to know is where are you getting your stripes and who put them on.

I was at the Ford dealer today and they had a GT with what appears to be the Ford accessory stripes, just the hood, top and trunk. They had added $499 to the price of the car for the stripes.

I think they probably cost about $100 and the rest is labor and profit.

So, where do I get my black stripes for my Lime?

Hi,go to this website www.2005-mustang.com ,the company is graphic express and they make Ford authorized stripe kits, great people too.

I got mine at Ford but it was done by an independent contractor who did the job at Ford

Do those stripes stop under the spoiler or go down the back of the trunk lid?

The ones that the dealer had on a couple of cars in the showroom ended about 1/4 inch from the windshield on the top and about 1/2 inch from the front of the hood. It looked like they had shrunk after they were installed. That kinda turned me off to them.

I'll have to talk to the parts guy and see what they have to offer.

Got mine from Autographics LTD and paid $75 including shipping. I put them on myself but didn't do a perfect job. Not bad. Just not perfect. Mine are supposed to be exact replicas of the OEM variety and they do, stop a tad short of the end of the hood etc.

The other thing that bothered me was that they were only 8 inches wide.

Really? Then I guess mine aren't all that accurate. Mine are 10. And I might like them even wider really.

That price is too high. If they were full stripes, then it would be a pretty fair price. I paid $400 for mine $200 for the stripes and $200 for the install at an independent shop.
