Default Saleen Parts

I have been looking at the saleen body kits and i really like the look of them. Do you think they would look weird if I had the stock (the 18" NON bullet style) on the car until i could buy the Saleen wheels/tires? Also how does Saleen's exhaust sound? How does the sound compare to something like the SLP kit? Can you hook up headers/H-pipes from other companies to it? With the Saleen Supercharger can you have it installed by the delear and does Saleen have a warranty? Thanks for all the help everyone, sorry about blabbing on for a bit.

I think the wheels would look fine they are very similar.
You can hear the Saleen on their website. Prolly give you a good feel for the sound.
Headers and midpipes will match so long as you stick with the same 2.5" diam
Check out the website for info on the Saleen blower. You can find alot of shops to do the install for you. Just do an internet search for a shop nearest you.

You'll have to find a Saleen approved dealer to install it for you if you want the warranty. Otherwise you're SOL.

Wonder if the Saleen approved delears (probably Ford Delearships?) will want and arm and a leg to install it verses a normal shop. Should be around 900 dollars to install? ($90x10H's) How much do you guys think a good paint job will cost for the body kit? Can you order it from Saleen already painted?

I don't think Saleen ships their body kit parts prepainted. But I will say that if you're looking to do the full bodykit, wheels, and s/c (ie: full Saleen clone).....expect to dish out some serious dough. You're looking at $2K-$3K for paint alone.........and even more than that if you expect professional fit and install for the bodykit. Figure about $1K for the s/c install. Now figure the cost of parts and you have a pretty expensive project on your hands. Of course, when you're done....you still have saved yourself probably 15K+ from the price of a real Saleen S281SC.

You really think it will be that expensive just to paint body part pieces? It's going to cost me 3 times the price of the body kit for the painting of it?

The new 2005-2006 Saleen body parts are perfect OEM quality. It should not cost any more to prep and paint them compared to any factory ford body part.
