Some questions from a n00b
 

I currently have an '05 srt-4 with many mods and am thinking of trading it in for a 2005 or 2006 mustang gt.

My questions are:

What mods are available for these model year mustangs? (ie. are there any proven super charger or turbo kits?)

What times can I expect at the track with say $5k in mods (I run at TMP every other weekend)?

How do they ('05, '06 mustang gt's) with say the 1988 mustang LX and the 1998 Mustang GT (I've owned both)?

I greatly appreciate your comments.

My reasons for changing is nothing more than I am bored of the srt-4. It's been fun, easy and cheap to make fast but at the end of the day, well, it's still a neon..... and I love the looks of the new mustang gt when they are lowered with nice deep dish rims... just killer.

there are tons of mods for the 05-06 mustangs just look around.
you can run in the high 10's low 11's with $5k invested.
the 05-06 gt will run all over the 88lx and th 98 gt. it will leave it.

welcome to the forums

there are quite a bit of mods out there, are you going to buy new or used? if you dont mind buying used for the price of a 05-06 you can get an 03-04 mach 1 or maybe even a cobra, which have more mods out there and look way better. as to your old car, the 5.0 was somewhat quick as was the NPI GT, but they werent that fast and are a little bit faster then the new V-6s are

dont do it...keep the srt4......who cares if its still a neon...there pretty fast especially if u have good mods
