X-plan can actually be given out by the employee... I still have a PIN, (even though I bought the car 11 months ago) because they didn't take it for the vert at the time...

Your telling me you purchased a 2006 GT before (doc fees/taxes/license/title) for around $23300? I cant believe you could get a dealer to sell it that low Good Job. The manufactures list price for a 2006 Mustang GT Deluxe Automatic Shaker 500 in June 2005 was $28200. Stripped Stick MSRP was $25680 but it did include a V8 engine. They were not giving any deals back then in Arizona most dealers were adding $2500. I did purchase the 2006 V6 Pony Package in December 2005 sorry about the typo.

$24200 2006 V6 Pony Package 12/2006
$ -1700 Dealer Discount
$22500 Price
$+2500 Tax & License
$25000 Total
Did you get it 12/2005 or are you getting one 12/2006?

For a final price (including doc fees/taxes/license/title) of $853 more than that (total: $25,853) I got my GT

In Arizona the tax base for (doc fees/taxes/license/title) is the purchase price plus 11%.
It sounds like you got $1500 off MSRP and only paid 7.1% above the purchase price.
I need to move back to the midwest.
Also the GT I ordered and refused delivery came with these options: My V6 Pony has these also:

$1000 Automatic Trans
$ 200 Upgrade Wheels
$ 650 Shaker 500
$ 450 Upgrade Interior
$ 50 Wheel Locks
$ 300 Anti-Theft
$ 400 Side Air-Bags
$ 3050 Options Total

DOES YOUR GT HAVE ANY OPTIONS?

$25680 2006 GT BASE PRICE MAY-2006
$ -1540 Dealer Discount
$24140 Price
$+1713 (doc fees/taxes/license/title) 7.1%
$25853 Total [sm=insomnia.gif]

easier to trade in, you pay almost no tax. i traded my 03 f-150 in, and only paid approx 550 in taxes and stuff. they subtract the trade value from sticker, and that what i paid taxes on. freaking gorgeous. also got the warranty on leather/interior, and 100k bumper to bumper. out the door at 28. below sticker, but not by much.

I got the best deal that I know of for a GT.

I got a 5 speed redfire GT with the $200 rims and $200 interior upgrade pack for a total of $23495. But I noticed that some of you, based on your calculations, seem to pay less than I do in California for tax and license. In Cali you factor an additional 10.25% of the car's total.

Still, 23495 ain't bad. The best here I think.

I was going to trade in my 2003 Toyota matrix XRS. My wife decided at the last moment that she wanted to keep it.
