I agree. I think it's best to approach the person in a very nice way so that they do not become defensive.

I had the same problem when I was in my apartment. this lady was like 107 yrs old and had a small car but couldn't park anywhere except 4 inches from my Maxima. I tried to talk to her but she was practicall deaf so it was no use. I just moved to a different spot.

I would just trade spaces with my roommate. His car is so frightening to look at, nobody wants to park next to it. They are afraid of catching that rust which has eaten half of the metal away on his car.

neighbors do suck! Someone on my street threw paintballs on my car. I swear people suck these days. I sooo need a garage.
But I also suggest approaching the person and asking them. Most likely, they don't know what they are doing. Plus, you'll look like a good neighbor for taking the appropriate approach. Heck, they may even bake you a cake for beeing so courteous.
